Capabilities

Radar System Architecture & Design

End-to-end radar system design including requirements definition, trade studies, signal chain evaluation, subsystem integration, and performance analysis. Experience across C, X, Ka, Ku, and W bands for ground, airborne, and spaceborne platforms.

Dual-Polarization Calibration

Expert guidance on calibration methodologies for dual-polarization weather radar systems, including literature review, data analysis, algorithm development, and written technical recommendations.

Signal & Array Processing

Development and implementation of advanced signal processing algorithms including pulse compression, waveform design, adaptive beamforming, polarimetric parameter estimation, and clutter mitigation — including wind turbine interference.

Phased Array & Imaging Radar

Design, simulation, and testing of phased array and imaging radar systems. Includes digital beamforming, scan strategy development, and volumetric observation techniques derived from development of the Atmospheric Imaging Radar (AIR).

Airborne & Spaceborne Radar

System development for airborne and spaceborne radar platforms, including requirements, calibration, validation, and field testing. Prior work includes NOAA P3 Hurricane Hunter Ka/Ku-band altimeters and multiple commercial space weather radar systems.

Prototyping & Field Testing

Hands-on RF system prototyping, component integration, laboratory characterization, and field deployment. Experienced in transitioning proof-of-concept systems to production-ready hardware.

Technical Writing & Documentation

Preparation of white papers, technical reports, SOWs, test plans, and system specifications. Experienced in delivering research-grade documentation to both technical and executive audiences.

Program & Technical Leadership

Project management, staffing, budget and schedule oversight, and cross-functional team coordination. Experienced leading multidisciplinary teams on high-complexity radar programs from concept through delivery.
